First Release!!!

It is the moment you have all been waiting for!...ish. I am sticking one toe in the water and putting out a very, very unpolished release of the very first version of the engine (the isometric engine, which differs from what I previously said I would release first, due to demand). Other versions are to follow. It was a fair amount of work to prep just this release, as unpolished as it is. And there are many things wrong, which I am mostly aware of (see the README.md). As noted, the point was not to make a perfect release, the point was to get the code in your hands as fast as possible (and I am sorry it has taken this long for me to get it out!).  I am hoping that between my help and contributors, it can be turned into something at least a little more polished.  So without further ado:

(Note, I am not charging money, but it obviously costs itch.io to host it, so throw some money at them if you care to).

On a side note, I am still figuring out how I want to earn money (from work, not VQ!). In the short term, I will probably be contracting a bit more, and I have created a new contracting website here (if you have any leads, let me know! - also, it is a rough draft and the splash page is messed up on mobile phones, so view it in a browser for now).  Also, if you would like to vouch for me, you can do so here.

It's a shame that this isn't for Mac. I'd love to play a native version someday instead of having to port it over. Otherwise, it's looking pretty good!

It should be fairly easy to port. I'd say main hurdle is writing the bash script for the build process, but I can probably do that myself.

In Linux through Wine(wine-1.9.12) works fine on Mac should too

There may be a problem on AMD GPUs: I'm getting several "Error validating shader" messages as I pan around, and I can't see the ground. Let me give it a try on my laptop, and I'll try to build the project and do some more thorough debugging when I have a chance. Pretty freaking sweet though! Watching the buildings assemble is more fun than I'd like to admit.

Thanks for testing! I have not yet tested on a single AMD GPU, so I expect errors there

Testing it on my old work notebook (ThinkPad t410i, 4Gb of RAM, symantec damn hungry soft installed, and an intel internal gpu chipset of some kind).
Works fine... some warnings, slow rendering but good.
I'll test it later on my home desktop-PC.

Congrats on your first release. This is awesome.

I gave it a go on the office's PC but i can only see the blue sky and blue chunks loading around (sound is fine). No problem, i'll try home. : )

Wait. This is the source code drop of an early version of the engine, not the latest version of the engine. I respect that you put your source on GitHub, but why didn't you push the latest version of the engine?

I got the blue sky/blue chunks issue mentioned above as well.

I'm running an Core2Due with EVGA GeForce 9600 gt oc with 1 gb and DX10 - think my specs could be causing it?

Looked at the code a bit. There's not a lot of useful comments. If you were trying to explain what each part does, you should write that as a comment above each section. Your code isn't exactly self explanatory. Good job putting it out there. I know code is a very personal thing.
